New Home Construction Permit - Requirements

In order to be issued a building permit from the Department of Code Enforcement, you must first provide:

1. A current land survey with the proper and correct address
2. Stamped architectural drawings
3. Code review checklist completed by the architect
4. Energy calculations
5. Soil bearing test report
6. Master electrician must file an electrical permit
7. Master plumber must file a plumbing permit
8. HVAC/Mechanical permits shall be required
9. Fireplace permit shall be required, if applicable
10. Environmental forms must be properly completed, if required
11. Board of Appeals and Planning Board approval shall be required, if applicable
12. Planning Board shall also be required should the project lie within a Waterfront Overlay District
