Forestry Work

The Forestry Division is responsible for the removal, trimming, and planting of all trees on City properties including the City street right-of-way from the street curb to the front of properties. R.O.W.’s do vary from street to street. However, most of these trees are located on the grassy margin between the curb and sidewalk. The Division also addresses all forestry-related activities in the City Parks, City-owned buildings, and other City properties.

At this time, the City of Niagara Falls does not offer a tree replacement program. Residents have the ability to plant trees in the City R.O.W. by submitting a forestry permit.
