The City Clerk’s Office is a customer service oriented Office that serves the public by issuing various types of licenses, copies of Vital Records, and providing general information relating to other City Departments in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
The Office of the City Controller is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all financial records of the City. The office develops and makes recommendations on the financial policies and procedures relating to financial services and internal controls to provide reasonable assurance of the accuracy and reliability of the accounting data. Accounting practices are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Governmental Accounting Standards.
As a Code Enforcement Department, our primary objective and duty is to protect the public safety through the enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code together with all local codes and ordinances.

The office of Economic Development aims to foster business and industrial development in the City of Niagara Falls.
The City Engineer oversees the preparation of plans and specifications for the Transportation Capital Improvement Projects, Public Works maintenance projects and all other improvement projects necessary for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the Public.
The Human Resources Department has a dual responsibility of providing services in the areas of Human Resource and Civil Service Administration.
Provides comprehensive legal services to the Mayor, City Council, City Administrator and all City departments and agencies
Management Information Services
The MIS Department reports to the City Administrator and is responsible for coordinating the Information Services Team projects as well as the planning and organization of Information Services. The MIS staff assists in evaluating and scheduling project/work order requests. They are responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance, user support, Phone and Email systems and software development for the city’s main platform, an IBM Power 720 Express and the administration of the New World Systems Public Administration software package.
N.F.C. Development Corp. was established in 1980 by the City Council as a not-for-profit corporation under Section 402 of the New York State Not- For-Profit Corporation Law. Its original and continued mission is to provide programs relieving and reducing unemployment, bettering and maintaining job opportunities, providing aid to attract new business or retain business and industry within the City of Niagara Falls, New York. N.F.C. is governed by 19 Directors, which include the Mayor and City Council, the Niagara Falls Urban renewal Directors, and 9 private sector directors selected and approved by the N.F.C Members.

Police
The Mission of the Niagara Falls Police Department is to work in partnership with the community to protect life and property, solve neighborhood problems, and enhance the quality of life in the
City of Niagara Falls while protecting the rights of all and applying the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
To provide the citizens of Niagara Falls with quality service, access to excellent collections, assistance in using emerging technologies, and a pleasing, safe environment.
Planning and Environmental
To promote and protect the health, safety and general welfare of all residents by enhancing and conserving the social, economic and environmental health of the residential, commercial, industrial and recreational areas by fostering the most appropriate use of municipal land and resources.
The Department of Public Works is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of roads, forestry, snow removal, public buildings, public spaces, parking, senior services, youth services, and parks.
The Purchasing Division is responsible for overseeing the procurement process. It is the City of Niagara Falls intent to have a purchasing policy which will build and maintain good community and vendor relationships while, at the same time, obtaining goods and services required at the best possible price.
Its original and continued mission is to revitalize, redevelop and eliminate slums and blighted areas of the established Urban Renewal District.
